Free activities for NAIDOC (and Casey Donovan too!)

Singer-songwriter Casey Donovan is headlining a free event for NAIDOC Week in Sydney.

NAIDOC Week is a celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and the rich history of our nation.

This year’s theme ‘Because Of Her, We Can!’ recognises the invaluable contribution Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women have made – and continue to make – to communities, families and culture.

Throughout the week there will be a range of free activities taking place including the famous Burramatta NAIDOC on Sunday 15 July.

The community is invited to the Burramatta NAIDOC festivities in the picturesque surrounds of Parramatta Park.

On the day, there will be a full program of free family-friendly activities and special performances.

As well as Casey Donovan, this year’s program will feature performances by Evie J Willie and Rebecca Hatch, food stalls and a free BBQ, GWS Giants activities, traditional dance and music and a spectacular fireworks finale.

The event runs from 12pm to 6:30pm at Pavilion Flat, Parramatta.
