Bondi Bar Hop

We all know that Bondi is home to a postcard-happy stretch of sand, but the suburb’s reputation as a place to drink and hangout has been steadily climbing.

For those wanting to stick around after a day on the beach, here are a few of Bondi’s best bars and hangout spots.

The Anchor

8 Campbell Parade, Bondi Beach

Set within a pirate/fisherman hybrid shack, this newish place has the charm and the menu to make any night a great one.

With a long list of drinks from all over the pond – fitting for a pirate-themed bar - The Anchor is the perfect place to grab a drink after a long day of being in the drink.

Neighbourhood

143 Curlewis Street, Bondi Beach

This place is pretty low-key in comparison to Bondi’s other offerings, but what Neighbourhood offers is anything but low-key.

The cocktail list is a mix of fun and unique, the menu is filled with delicious items such as creamy pastas and juicy cheese burgers, and there’s even an open-air courtyard out back for people to mingle.

Bondi Hardware

39 Hall Street, Bondi Beach

Bondi Hardware is a pleasant mix of the rough and the elegant. With exposed brick walls, tools scattered across the walls, and potted plants throughout, it’s probably the classiest garden shed you’ll ever have a drink in.

As for the drinks list, you’ll find all your favourites, but you can’t go wrong with Bondi Hardware’s own version of the Bloody Mary - which is almost a meal within itself.

The Corner House

281 Bondi Road, Bondi

To the naked eye, the Corner House looks just like any other restaurant. But go upstairs to the next level and you’ll find a wealth of cocktails, snacks, and fun times just waiting for you.

The cocktail list has remained relatively unchanged over the years, but each one is well-made, and the list is helpfully divided into categories. Rustic, yet elegant, the Corner House is a pleasant blend of the new and the old.

The Bucket List

Bondi Pavilion, Queen Elizabeth Drive

The Bucket List is really all about two things: the buckets of beer and the prawns. Not only does the place look inviting and easy-going, but after a long day in the sun, who doesn’t want to just settle down with a bucket of beer (or chilled cocktail) and some fantastically delicious prawns?
