10 Things to do in Sydney this Weekend

1.Chet Faker: Built On Live ​

Where: Sydney Opera House 

When: Saturday 7 November 6pm 

Australian indie electronic musician, Chet Faker, will be headlining at the Sydney Opera House on Saturday night. Fans can expect old favourites, new single releases and fresh electronic compositions produced on stage.

2. 2015 Campbelltown City Festival of Fishers Ghost 

Where: Campbelltown 

When: All Weekend

Held over 10 days, The Campbelltown City Festival is named after Australia’s most famous ghost Frederick Fisher. The festival features a Street Parade, the prestigious Fisher’s Ghost Art Award, annual Fun Run, a street fair, craft exhibition, open days and a grand carnival complete with firework display.

3. 2015 Glebe Music Festival ​

Where: Various venues 

When: All Weekend

The 6th Annual Glebe Music Festival will host various local musical talent in different locations over the weekend. Hosting performers from a range of genres, the festival promises to be a fun day out for all ages.

4. Newtown Festival 2015

Where: Newtown Neighbourhood Centre ​

When: Sunday 8 November ​

Newtown Neighbourhood Centre presents their annual one-day event to raise funds for the invaluable work it does with the local community. The Festival is entirely free, with collection buckets present on the day for donations.

5. 2015 Children’s Festival of Moving Stories: Jeff Kinney and Andy Griffiths

Where: City Recital Hall Angel Place 

When: Sunday 8 November, 12pm

Sydney Writers' Festival presents bestselling authors Jeff Kinney and Andy Griffiths in a Once in a Lifetime Event as part of the 2015 Children's Festival of Moving Stories. Join the two biggest names in children’s books as they come together live on stage for two hours of laughter, mayhem and stories.
